Who is more Empowered??
During the scorching noon, I was fully covered with summer coat, and somehow managed to walk with extream pace; in hurry to catchup the bus.
Two different scenes caught me, compelled me to slow down and I felt burst of unbridled thoughts inside my head that... What is women empowerment??
Scene 1:
An innocent girl (around 15 yrs old) along with a self regard lady (her mother maybe) ....pulling sugarcane juice's wheel barrow (thela).
There was glittering spark in their eyes and their smile speaking loud to the world that we are capable enough to lead a dignified life.
Previously I had never seen any female running such vending shop on wheel barrow.
Scene 2:
A white skoda (car), in furious speed...suddenly applied power brakes.
A confident lady stepped out from car, carrying herself in a branded attire, with her pouting lips coloured with red hot lipstick. Then, she lighted a cigarette along with a conversation on call that....."Hey dude! where are you? I am still hangover. But somehow managed to come to office."
I 'myself' checked the place where I am?
Then I found myself nearby a parking of a multinational company.
Abruptly, loud COUGHING sound triggered me to focus on scene 1 again ...its, that 15 year old girl who is coughing, because the lady with cigarette, blown the smoke ON HER FACE.
These incidences took hardly 2 minutes but they really compelled me to over ponder even after 3 days.
I really felt amazed, which woman is more empowered???
Empowerment of women doesnot mean being loud. Real empowerment means heading a dignified life with being a helping hand for others to stand....and not make people to feel how inferior they are..
Empowerment implies freedom of thoughts and gut to execute your decisions. But decisions must be geniune...because if somebody decided to plant a Bomb in train and giving the argument that he /she is empowered enough to do soo.
This will not be fair but a crime!!
Soo, there is always a small line between being really empowered or getting misinterpreted with the meaning of empowerment.
